Helllo everyone. I am Eva Marie from Couturier Mommy and I am so very pleased to be visiting Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy! today.
I am a southern girl from Atlanta, Georgia (originally from the mountains of western NC) and a SAHM of two boys and two girls.
In my former career I was a fashion designer and a pattern maker. Now my job is much more challenging. I try to teach and entertain my kids all day everyday.
I also have the pleasure of using my talents and gifts to teach the art of sewing. Many of my students prefer to watch instead of read, so I videoed a lot of my posts. I promise if you give me the time I will teach you how to sew or make you more efficient at it. I also post mommy tips and ideas. Things that have made my life easier or more fun.

Side 1 has a simple welt pocket
Side 2 has a patch pocket!
It is a super cute jacket I think you will love.

Thank you so much, Eva for your advice on the welt pocket. It is so nice to be able to see the sewing done, in process. I think this makes the 1 in 2 Jacket a little less intimidating for those who have less sewing experience. I'll be back to watch this again when I'm ready to make mine.

This is so great!! This jacket is next on my list, in fact I already bought the fabric. Now I don't need to be nervous about the welt pockets!
ReplyDeleteEvery day I visit I am more and more impressed! Awesome 2 n 1 !!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a GREAT Tutorial! Shelly and I would like to put a link on the sewing-for-boys.com website. Do you mind?
ReplyDeleteLove this jacket and I love Eva Marie! Her tutorials have been a lifesaver to me!
ReplyDeleteEva Marie is incredible! I didn't ever think I could make a jacket... but if she says I can, I'm sure I'll be able to! This looks like it would even be a cute pea coat type jacket for a girl.
